Location

Lead Software Development Engineer

 Circa £40,000 

 Slinfold, UK

 

Mecmesin Limited have a position for a lead software development engineer to work as part of the engineering team to aid with the design and development of their leading Windows based application. The role is for a candidate with degree level or equivalent qualification in a relevant engineering discipline with the following experience.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Lead the software development team in researching, developing and designing Mecmesin’s core systems control and acquisition software and ancillary software developments


Skill Requirements:

 

Essential Abilities/Experience Required:

  • Good background in Windows OS development experience.
  • C/C++/C# programming experience.
  • Developing in an IDE environment (Visual Studio) with .Net and MFC.
  • Experience of the whole software development lifecycle.
  • Team Supervisory experience.

Desirable Abilities/Experience:

  • Ability to develop in other languages (Java, XML).
  • Ability to develop for other operating systems (Android, Linux, iOS).
  • Experience developing Database Management Systems (SQL or equivalent).
  • Ability to develop in other languages (Java, XML).
  • Ability to develop in other languages (Java, XML).

The ideal candidate will have a track record of several years of developing Windows-based software in accordance with the whole development lifecycle: requirements capture, high level & low level design, code, low level test, integration and up to the final software verification and validation phases.

Mechanical Design Engineer Slinfold, UK

Mecmesin Limited have a position for a Mechanical Design Engineer to work as part of their Engineering team to:

  • Research, develop and design mechanical components, instruments and systems used for force and torque testing.
  • Develop projects of products in line with Mecmesin development strategy ensuring all requirements of relevant design procedures and timescales are met.
  • To provide technical support & advice support to new and existing products to other departments within Mecmesin when requested.

The ideal candidate will have a Mechanical engineering degree or equivalent professional qualification, good experience of designing engineering products using 3D CAD Design (preferably on Solid Edge), experience of FEA on components and systems together with proven analytical and problem solving skills and obviously planning and project management experience.
